I was led to this verse yesterday by a friend. Great timing for Valentine’s Day and the perfect reminder that while words do matter, the Lord challenges us to live them out with sincerity. God did not only give us a text filled with comforting words, He gave us Jesus in the flesh who displayed genuine love in action on the cross. Many of us will never be called to such sacrifice, but we may be called to offer a helping hand, even go the extra mile, for the one God places in front of us.

Lord, thank you for being the perfect example of love for us to follow. Please help us live out your Word with the right attitude and through meaningful actions. In Your Name we pray, Amen. #theWordofGodinshoeleather #lovelikeJesus #1John318
